Exhaustion before the journey
I was told children in the spectrum have tantrums that are more intense than average.
This past week I’ve been experiencing that in full: any refusal to go my son’s way results in a screaming and hitting fit. I’ve just left the local supermarket after dealing with a huge screaming, running, rolling on the floor tantrum. And not that I care, but it was under the judgemental stares of people there.
I know this is expected, and I shouldn’t complain, but f*** I’m so tired. And I can’t crack because the real journey will begin now, with intervention - speech therapy, psychomotor education, etc - and it will be hard work, so energy levels must stay up no matter what.
But for now, I’m just tired.
