My son decided to go with an avant-garde book organisation.
I’ve done the laundry, done the dishes, organised my kitchen cabinets and I’m off to clean up the house.
Must be an end of year malfunction.
And of course a moon like that asks for a song like this one.
Spectacular rising full moon from my window, but my phone camera doesn’t do it the least justice.
Flashback to the Greek island Ios, 2015, when I visited Homer’s tomb and someone had left this.
And suddenly there’s a Christmas Parade outside my window šš
Music, jugglers and characters, very nice.
Discovering a Portuguese author for Christmas. And enjoying it.
āAnd little did he care about the nonsense, he had nothing of shame and dreamt so big that each impediment was merely a small delay, never withdrawal or acceptance of the madness. He thought that when you dream that big reality learns.ā
Being kind to myself this afternoon:
Scones, lemonbalm tea and Harry Potter.
One thing I love are winks from the Universe.
Like turning up the radio and hearing āWe can live through and bear the worst things, but I beg you, do not waste your life living in resignationā.
My late grandmother’s biscuit recipe, a Christmas treat for my godson this afternoon :-)
Today was a sunny Sunday and I spent a nice morning with B, my sister and my niece at the beach.
Even without many words, it’s easy to see how B loves her cousin and how happy he was to run around with her.
My little man in a big world.
The seaside train.
Polar bear.
I’d like to delve into John le CarrĆ©’s work, where would you recommend to start? The George Smiley novels?
Oh great, with the 31st Dec restrictions and my son going to bed at 21h30, it seems I’ll be entering 2021 completely alone.
Thank you Covid.
Ok, here we go for our creative game!
Take the last text written and add to it in reply. Let’s see where the story goes!
Hereās a beginning:
The first rays of sun pierced through the leaves. The cloaked manās eyes were fixed on the mass of colours in the distance. He had arrived.
Iāve been missing #mbnov and need something fun.
Would anyone be interested in a collaborative chain of creation? Iād start with a sentence, then each person would continue it in reply or post (including the previous ones), and see what story we end up with?
Jamie Cullum’s How Do You Fly? is a thing of beauty.
Happy Birthday, my dear Jane Austen!
Thank you for giving joy and calm and happy endings to this hopeless romantic since the age of 17.

Today’s motivational tune.
Morning fitness with a 3 year old suspected hyperactive, suspected spectrum:
-Darling, come here, letās sit down and eat.
Runs in the opposit direction.
-B come here, you have to eat.
Starts jumping on the sofa.
-Gotcha! (after running after him, picking him up and sitting him on his high chair)
Later
-Honey, letās get dressed for school.
Runs in the opposite direction, makes laps around the room, then living room, then balcony (itās not a big flat, but still). I manage to grab him and sit him on the sofa.
-Ok, sweater on, now for the trousers!
Slips through my arms, starts running around in his diaper, jumping and zigzaging. I manage to do an american football sort of stunt and put him back on the sofa so I can put his trousers on.
-Yay, trousers on! Now for the shoes!
Slips aways again, starts runn - oh, you get the idea.
I need a Gatorade.
Would anyone know a link to watch Taskmaster Series 8 and 9 ?
